About
Cat's World

By @jun

What would our world look like if we saw it through cat eyes?

I started thinking about this because of my own cats. I was curious about their perspective, not just in terms of color vision, but how they really experience everything around them. Like the floor where they love to chill in the mornings, the sunny windowsill in the afternoon, the hallway we usually ignore, or the edge of a table. These everyday spots make up their little world.

That’s how Cat's World came to be.

The images here aren't meant to recreate a cat's vision perfectly, and they aren't another photo filter. They're an invitation to look at everyday places around you from a fresh perspective, imagining the world through a cat’s eyes.

Each photograph captures a moment in someone's life. A peaceful kitchen. A rainy street. A favorite chair. A bookstore. A desk at work. A piece of paper that's fallen on the floor. Individually, these moments may seem small, but collectively, they tell a bigger story about daily life, piece by piece.

Cat's World is an invitation to pause for a moment and see the everyday world a little differently.

To create that shared visual experience, each image is rendered in a palette of muted blues, yellow-greens, and soft grays, reflecting the limited color range that cats are thought to see. While scientific accuracy isn't our primary goal, we are shifting our perspective to focus on shape, light, and surroundings instead of just colors.

The gallery expands slowly, with each new addition carefully reviewed to preserve the feeling of the collection. Like any thoughtfully curated space, the significance of each image lies not only in its individual qualities but also in the conversations that unfold when they are viewed together.

If you'd like to contribute, add your view. Try the transformation, save your image, and, if you'd like, leave it here for others to discover.
